ARCATA — Point guard Zac Tiedeman has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) all-West Region first team, adding another postseason honor to the growing list of awards bestowed upon the Humboldt State senior.
Tiedeman, the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year, led the Jacks to a 22-8 season and the program's 9th NCAA postseason berth in the past 10 seasons. He had also been previously selected to the Daktronics all-region second team.
The Santa Rosa native finished the 2009-10 season averaging 12.4 points per game and dishing out 139 assists. He led the CCAA in 3-point shooting, making 47 percent of his attempts, and became HSU's all-time free throw leader with a career percentage of .892 from the line.
Joining Tiedeman on the NABC list was second-team selection Brian Morris.The junior from Portland, Ore., led the Jacks in scoring with a 15.0 points per game average and rebounding with 6.4 boards per game.
