Tiedeman earns CCAA/Wilson weekly honor
ARCATA — Humboldt State senior point guard Zac Tiedeman has been named CCAA/Wilson Player of the Week for his efforts in the Lumberjacks' two California Collegiate Athletic Association games last week.
Tiedeman, from Santa Rosa, scored 22 points in each of the Jacks' road wins. He shot a remarkable 76.9 percent from 3-point range, hitting 10 of 13 shots, and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
In helping the Jacks defeat CSU Dominguez Hills and CSU Los Angeles, Tiedeman shot 63 percent overall from the field and dished out four assists. His penetration drive and pass to teammate Kevin Atkins set up a 3-pointer that forced Saturday's game with CSUDH into overtime.
